High-Performance in Brooklyn
This project was designed to appear as a cluster of buildings clustered together and spread across a rural landscape on a hilltop site in the Driftless area. The site has 360 degree views and great solar access and the house was designed using passive house principles. The buildings are connected to each other by various means. The main house consists of the two-story structure clad in yellow and the structure with the timber framed entry porch set next to each other. Both the main house and the accessory dwelling are connected to the garage and the outdoor living space. Together, the complex of buildings is set up for future multi-generational living and aging in place. Images shown here are renderings of the floor plan and various views around the building.
I designed this project during my time at TDS Design Build.
